Police in Mtwapa, Kilifi county, have arrested two suspects, recovered assorted household goods and electronics in a successful operation.
One of the suspects, Moses Ambira Ngota 29, was arrested yesterday after a tip-off about a burglary incident within Mtwapa town led police to the scene wherebhe was found in possession of items suspected to be stolen
According to police reports, the recovery of more items came after the officers interrogated the suspect who led them to a house at Kiembeni's Nguu tatu area in Kisauni where the items were recovered and one more person of interest was apprehended.
The second suspect identified as 26-year-old Antony Ismael Charo is believed to be the receiver of all stolen goods from Kilifi and Mombasa counties.
“Among the recovered items were five speakers, five laptops, 13- WiFi routers, 12 mobile phones, two blow-dry machines, one 43-inch television set, three WiFi receivers, two keyboards, three CCTV cameras, one music system. Three computer CPUs, one monitor, one Kit sealer, one blender, one power supplier, assorted power and internet cables ” the police report read in part.
All items have been documented, and the two suspects are in custody awaiting arraignment at Shanzu Law Courts on Monday, October 13, 2025.
