A 48 year old Security guard at Bridge International Academy Ujamaa Likoni, has been charged with the offense of defiling a 5-year-old minor.

Ali Mohammed Chocho who appeared before Mombasa chief magistrate, Martha Mutuku pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court heard that the mother of the minor had on August 9, this year  reported at  Inuka police station that her daughter who is a Pp2 student at the said school came home on August 4, smelling  faeces and when she tried to interrogate her, the minor kept quiet, however her mother was forced to examine her and on August 7 the minor again came home with a different smell.

The minor’s mother was forced to involve her neighbor who accompanied her to hospital. upon examination it was discovered that the minor had been defiled on several occasions.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect would lure the minor and defile her after  classes within the school compound inside his resting room.

The charges were that,on Diverse dates of between April 1 2022 and 9 2023 at Vyemani area in Likoni sub county within Mombasa county, the suspect unlawfully and intentionally defiled a minor aged five years.

He was slapped with a second count of ,committing an indecent Act with a child.

The particulars being that on Diverse dates between April 1 2022 and August 9 this year at Vyemani area in Likoni sub-county , unlawfully touched the minors private part.

The court ordered he be released on a bond of kshs300,000 with one similar surety with an alternative of Kshs 200,000 cash bail.

The matter will be mentioned on , August 23 this year for pretrial purposes.
