Five suspected members of a criminal gang have been arrested in Ng'omben area as police widen crackdown to flag out criminal gangs

The five, Said Salim  Mwalole, Yahya Mwalimu Mohamed alias Kirungi, Juma Hamisi Makusanya alias Dush, Said Mohamed and Mohamed Ali alias Modi were arrested in a joint operation led by OCPP Ng'ombeni and officers from Inuka police station following numerous reports of violent crimes along the Dongo Kundu bypass area

Following intelligence reports gathered from  other suspects who had been arrested earlier for burglary, security officers extended the operation to Barabara ya Mchanga area where another suspect identified as Evans Ochieng was also arrested.

Ochieng, alongside Edward Omondi and Protus John Rioba, are accused of having broken into a shop at Makika area in Shonda stealing assorted goods.

All suspects were escorted to inuka police station waiting for court arraignment to face robbery with violence charges.
